Watch Ikusa Otome Valkyrie 2 - 03

the discovery of Lake Ledro

The day, warm enough, we saw loads and eager to try this new path that, as often happens in our excursions, there is largely unknown. After a quick trip
immersed in traffic, we reach the point of beginning of a journey of our knowledge: the road Ponale.
Then head down this street full of history (already thoroughly discussed in a previous article), with the aim of reaching the Ledro Valley. Take this road (now route) is always exciting, both for the panoramic views of the lake and surrounding districts, and to the special path, which makes it attractive from both those who love trekking bikes.
Unfortunately, the most striking feature takes a few miles and we find ourselves at the first fork highlight of the day: on the left up towards the village of Pregasina on the right, continue towards our goal.
The climb is the hardest ... the old road is narrow, with hairpin bends make it even more characteristic. After a couple of miles We come out on the highway that runs through the valley of Ledro ... there are .
few hundred meters and this is the next junction, the road that leads to Pregasina ... follow it and we move a few dozen meters to meet the continuation of the path Ponale.
The fund is now excavated, but enough to be beaten path without too much difficulty ... the climb remains within acceptable parameters ... the environment around us, full of green and water, is very nice. But here is a stretch
harder ... it is very short and leads us to gates of the town of Pré Ledro. We are now on-road and walk the alleyways characteristics of the village, until you reach the road junction leading to where he clearly indicated the way ahead to get to Lake Ledro. The climb
increases in intensity and the wind starts to run low ... I did not imagine a slope so high in this trait. When we return to the dirt paves the way for a bit, but it's an illusion that does not last long ... over a bridge here is a new salitona ... no, better not to push too hard beyond the limits ... we do a piece to walk .
Even this "jerk" is pretty short ... back in the saddle long enough to see the first houses of the village of Molina di Ledro ... Here we are in square ... we are almost in sight of the goal ... short stretches of road ordinary and pedestrian and we are on the lake (see photo below) ... a lunch break on the lake is a must.
After enjoying a fresh and tasty ice cream, we resume our program awaits us around the lake. We then follow the narrow road along the shore ... hour ride is very nice ... the slope is very limited el ' environment around us makes the trip very relaxing ... every time you open the views very impressive ... the imagination runs. We come to
Pieve di Ledro, the other end Lake ... the turning point ... we continue to photograph, even when we dive on the way back along the north coast .
often good things do not last long, unfortunately, well-experienced and therefore the lake tour ends in a short time ... and then some click away along the route taken the first leg ... now we wait for the descent. The items now on ... do not serve the sometimes make pictures than words.

Conclusion: Very nice
as travel. At the start imagined cycling output characteristic, but in the end I had to correct myself: it's a trip very characteristic. The reach of many ... I do not say all because I believe this path is required to deal with quite a workout, given that some slopes are quite challenging, especially in the stretch from Prè Ledro Molina di Ledro. It is preferable to use a mountain bike, even though the end is possible along this path using a regular bike ... provided with gear and brakes ... good!

Path mountaineering Massimiliano Torti

After the latest cycling, I come to speak of a hike. We are in the Upper West side Lake Garda, at the village of Pregasina; in this area develops the path climbing Massimiliano Torti, a path not well known that we decided to explore.

Here I am in a small parking right at the sign of Pregasina in the company of Vito and Augustine. A resident of the country gave us some explanations on how to find the start of the path Torti. There are no indications of any signs that we pass on, and it is only through random encounter with two friends (which will accompany us in the excursion), we can refine the path. Get off
along the main road, leaving on our right the characteristic point panoramic called Regina Mundi ", a handy shortcut takes us along the winding end of the road Ponale (formerly treated as a trip by bike in a previous article) on a lathe, which is characterized by a number of cypress trees, are the 'hub (camouflaged enough) of a path (not reported), which should lead to the wrong. It falls
then along a path well engraved and very attractive, especially towards the end, when you open the splendid panoramic Lake Garda and the rocky ridge that houses the way Ponale. Even the final stretch of this path approach is quite challenging for both the steepness and friability of the fund, both the discrete exposure, also have to be careful not to trip in the hardware of rockfall protection kits, were used to guard the underlying rock which dominates the Garda gabions ... but it is very useful in the very last downhill stretch vertical leading the attack on the street.
So here we are in front of the table who will baptize this way ... 's start is very characteristic: the narrow path is "Crushed" by the network Antimo, which appear to form a tunnel ... we are just above the lake below ... us a jump of 200 meters ... if nothing else, the network also serves as a "deterrent" for dizziness. We wear the harness and equipped us to form the rope ... necessary, as along most of the route there are no safety ropes, but only fix in order to catch any of the references ... it is still a wilderness path, even if you spread mainly horizontally. Well, the ledge waiting for us ... we're off. The very first
tract is facilitated by the presence of a thin wire rope to facilitate the safety (especially se si dispone di un imbrago da ferrata).
We have already covered about one third of the track. Let's continue our journey and after a few steps we come to another critical point: the passage on a narrow wooden board, positioned to facilitate the successful completion of a section of the path that is sold .
now we have "taken his hand" to the path, which flows smoothly in an environment very nice made of rock, flora and fauna unique and not easily describable, but thanks to the numerous photos long shot the journey. He spent another half hour, during which the verticality of the wall gives us a small break ... but there comes a point more challenging: the path ends abruptly near a metal lineup, allowing the descent below the section of the street ... is not technically difficult, if not for the structure that appears to be quite shaky.
Well, sometimes it is also a pleasant interlude and adrenaline ... a little adrenaline is also the step on a piece of wood about 30 minutes from the lineup, positioned on an ad hoc yet another failure.
È il preludio alla fine del percorso: la parete Rocky gives way to a steep slope (a kind of gravel), where there is also the ' indication for the country ... Pregasina us under the Pier and the many hotel facilities windsurfers whizzing Lake . We can relax, put equipment and enjoy a well deserved lunch break.
For the return we follow the path , initially half hidden by greenery, which rises steeply towards a gully. The main references are the medium voltage pylons that make a striking contrast to a very wild environment ... and tiring! L ' steep , fact, often requires the ' APPO GGIO hands on the ground or on vegetation , to avoid making annoying tumbles ... also because of the presence of streams of water in some places. The climb, however, despite the sweat, it is quite pleasant, and ends in just over half an hour of Pregasina plateau, near a large meadow , near the road. A few minutes to catch his breath is a must.
But there's more: We're going to path that leads to the crest of the ridge overlooking the lake ... just a few minutes we are on top ... splendid panorama breathtaking! On the one hand the Baldo chain with the Almighty in the foreground, then Riva, Torbole, Arco and around the village of Pregasina at our feet. A super overview is a must (see photo below).
But now you need to go ... we go down again on the floor, then take the last downhill, along the road main town, which brings us back to the car in minutes.

Conclusion: It is said that the ledge
traveled, is the result of a study for the construction of a road that was to join the Garda to Limone Val di Ledro. The project was then abandoned and remained this feature ledge, which for about two kilometers across the cliffs overlooking the western Gardesana a height of Pregasina. In recent years the route has been secured thanks to a number of fixes and some metallic lines are useful to overcome the most challenging. This raises the path climbing dedicated to Maximilian Torti (a young climber fell in 2000 on Giant's Tooth), also called by some 'Trail Smugglers'.
As for the technical opinion of the excursion will tell you that it is not easy to write, because the wrong turns out to be a route away from traditional norms, being a cross between a railroad and a true wilderness trail. People used to go climbing routes may also find it trivial, while for those who have never even approached a railroad may seem something "outside world". The truth, as often happens, lies somewhere in between, this is certainly a technical path in all respects, with three laborious steps, which require much attention, familiar with the operations of cord and nerves, not to forget the exposure, nearly continuous, which requires a firm foothold and do not suffer from (200-meter jump more than a few)!
A chi è rivolto? Dal mio punto di vista l’unicità della via compensa ampiamente la “delusione” che possono avere gli amanti dell’arrampicata, mentre for those who have experience in climbing can be a great adrenaline rush ... of course keeping in mind the usual technical and physical limitations ... and dizzy!

Ride to the International Kite Festival

Lido Adriano first half, then taking away Reclamation, the avenue leading to the Lido, initially on a pedestrian and cycle track, then, unfortunately, on the road normal. Fortunately, in a short time we reach the destination and we head towards the seafront here we find a new pedestrian and cycle who always do the job. A few hundred yards and intuition tells us to divert toward a kind of narrow lane asphalt, just intuition, since come out on a secondary road that heads towards the coast. We are now very close to the sea and the 'beginning a path that seems embankment follow the coast. This stretch is nice, very smooth but the fund does not always easily accessible. The path becomes dirt road and find a channel ... we follow the course back in search of a crossing point. Here is a paved road and a bridge , one-way alternating , which allows us to move on. Head to the left, in the direction of the coast, on another road. Short is the space that separates us from Lido di Dante, which reach and get around in a southerly direction along a side street. Now the waterfront is just steps to the right ... a dirt road venturing further south in the pine forest.
... a bridge and then back down a road dirt road that you lose sight of an eye, but ... in the right direction. The next two forks take us a while to improvise the way, given the lack of signage. Then keep as a reference point on the coast, turning first left into direction of the sea, then to the south, always white along side streets, which seem to have done with a ruler so straight.
After so much dirt here is that finally crossed the tarmac, or avenue, with lots of pedestrian and cycle track. leads us to Lido di Classe. roam the country lying On the outskirts, where possible along the track cycling , then follow the main road that leads the next Lido di Savio.
Not finding certain directions head towards the seafront. Some establishments beach blocked our road .. a pedestrian and cycle track part in the south ... we take. The protected path takes us through all of Lido, along the key avenue, with shops that characterize any sea resort, but the free ride is over and here we are ... in the traffic of tourists :-).
always kept parallel to the coast, we travel now ordinary roads, thanks to which we Milano Marittima first and then to the port channel Cervia. We are almost there. We now reach the Riviera dei Pini home to the Kite Festival. We unraveled in the chaos of the town center, one way streets and bicycle parts, searching for the beach. Here at last was a path right on the waterfront.
Cycling with refreshed optimism, we begin to perceive the first kite in the sky ... but we expect a final stretch: in fact arrive at a pine forest where you see the ' beginning of the cycle track' Giovanni Gerbi '. 'll Tell you: great! A path entirely in the pine forest, with continuous up and down the dunes just a short walk from the beach ... for a while I felt a child again ;-). But we must keep an eye on the sky, because we have now ... the music and colors that stand out are the signal in the blue ... we deviate, bike in hand, toward the beach ... you open the visual confirmation and we find the goal achieved.
parked the bikes and we will forward in the festival, including music, games , refreshment stand and displaying every kind of item for lovers of kite flying. A lunch break of many colors is a must.
is a real feast of the square, between characters and cultures that come from all part of the globe ... is a world apart, where age does not matter, only the factor that unites all: playing with the wind. What else? More than words in these cases the images are ... follow the photos linked to my words to discover a bit of that world that at least a time worth visit. But now we expect

Conclusions:
was definitely a pleasant trip by bike, thanks to which we probably opened a new path between Ravenna and Cervia. The district is crossed b ello, both in terms of scenery, and (especially) from the naturalistic. The route taken, although that has some long (74km total), can be covered by anyone, as it is completely flat and with sufficient funds also beat dirt road. Perhaps discourage the summer, both the heat and for the mosquitoes, Unfortunately, that infest the stretch of pine forest that we walked between the Lido di Dante and the stream Bevano.
not forget the kite festival in Cervia: the Festival was in my opinion that has enriched the icing the cake already filled with a pleasant ride. Definitely worth a visit because, as I wrote in the article, is a world unto itself, composed and run by people very happy and funny, which they combine, in a proper balance, art, sports and entertainment ... a world that, with its colors, cheers the thousands of tourists, young and old, who every year flock to the beach promenade of Cervia. The appointment is for 2010 ... always ovviamente, in bici!

Dislivello : trascurabile
Pendenza : trascurabile
Fondo : asfalto + sterrato

Balloon Tower Defense 4 Not Blocked By School

Cycle Mori - Torbole - Riva del Garda and road Ponale

Giornata ventilata ma tutto sommato tiepida one that welcomes us to Mori, a small town in Trentino place outside the narrow valley that joins the Adige Valley to Lake Garda. Park your car is fairly easy, and unloaded the bikes, we are immediately faced with a stretch of road with ordinary road in the direction of ... some indication of the path :-). Fortunately, the direction to take is very clear and very quickly we get to cross the main road that connects 240 Mori in Torbole. Here we take pleasure with the first track of a path that leads us away from major traffic (also assisted by good public holidays).
... and view! We enjoy the view and for a moment ... a little thought goes back ... it will be a tough climb! Ok, let's proceed. The downhill runs smooth ... but the brakes are put to the test ... finally the first of Torbole way ... we arrived.
The route is officially over, but we decide to continue in the direction of Riva del Garda, through a new path. We are now immersed in the traffic search of the usual signs ... we decide for a detour towards the lake ... we are skirting the Sarca and we finally find the coveted cycle, just down the ' bank of the River. We follow then the lake, including sailing lovers who find their paradise in these areas wind. The characteristic transit along a rocky ridge of the mountain Brione, where the headquarters pedestrian and cycle is suspended over the lake. Some nice steps and arrive in Riva del Garda, where we again deal with the traffic. We head towards the center, reachable through ordinary roads, the chaos of tourists and increased traffic work certainly do not facilitate the transition, rather we also ruin some beautiful shots of the country. However, the objective of Riva del Garda has been reached and now we deserve a break ... hot coffee, seeing brisk breeze blows some :-).
think this over here? Oh no, the rest is rearranging the ideas ... in particular, it appears a very "warlike" continue along the old road that connected the lake with the Valle di Ledro. Thought, said ... Let's go! We walk some more :-)
the lake to finish across the country , to link up with the highway 45a that runs along the west side of Lake Garda. "Tasted" a little more traffic, fortunately for a few hundred meters, to see on the right, before the arrival of the new gallery on the Garda, the start of our new location: the 'road Ponale'. We take the initial climb fraught
leading beginning of what was a road, but now, after a series of works of consolidation and security, has been "renamed as 'Path of Ponale James Cis' . From the beginning the ascent is pleasant, thanks to a slope not too much that you, choosing the right gear, to proceed without major troubles. Dopo poco meno di 3 chilometri giungiamo all’ultimo tratto sterrato di questo tracciato, al termine which are a barrier that marks the beginning of the old asphalt road Ponale, now abandoned.
few minutes of reflection before going ... final destination would be the Ledro Valley, but time is running out, the unknown distance and let your legs do not know if this ambitious task. Curiosity, however, is so great and then you go along. Keeping the left
to the next junction, following the signs 'Lake Ledro', you reach a small bridge, you need to go beyond the deep gorge through which flows the river Ponale ... from this point on increases the slope and some sharp bends to allow way to overcome the steep mountainside. When the trouble really begins to bite, that's the barrier that marks the end tract is the most outstanding ... an outlet on a road open to traffic, just at the beginning of a tunnel . It's a little late to think of reaching the Ledro Valley, but a last short climb is a must to reach the panoramic in which stands the great statue Regina Mundi ... from here you can enjoy beautiful scenery (see photo below). A moment to savor the magic of the place, then again back in the saddle for another few meters to the roadway, sign up to Signals that marks the beginning of the town of Pregasina. Photos and then off along the way back. Now you can leave it to the force of gravity, with which you can admire the entire course without any effort on the outward journey, if not the hands that often have to urge the brake handles.
On the shore, we continue to give strength to the pedals, and now we enjoy the way back, retracing the same path that leg, trying to savor these tracts of land taking another color of the lights on for the late afternoon . We face the steep climb from the village of Torbole Nago ... is the last major effort della giornata… non prima però di aver goduto del caratteristico punto panoramico posto sopra il paese .

Segue un itinerario quasi sempre a strapiombo sulle acque del Garda, percorrendo i tunnel scavati in origine nella roccia calcarea, in un ambiente dove è possibile trovare la storia (numerose sono le gallerie e le fortificazioni Austro-Hungarian), nature (the Mediterranean vegetation composed mostly of cypress and oak trees) and views (all overlooking the upper lake, the mouth of the Sarca and the typical mountain Brione and Mount Baldo) ... in such a context the stops are a must. For much of the fund is unpaved, but passable is the same with any bike (although we recommend a mountain bike or city bike), because the steepness of the slope remains at a low level and constant (around 4 - 5%). A note is a must: the path is quite narrow with many blind corners, and being frequented by hikers, bikers and from “allegri”, si deve prestare molta attenzione al traffico che proviene in senso opposto.

Distanza totale : 45 km (andata + ritorno)
Fondo : asfalto + sterrato
