Alcune sere fa era l'otto di settembre, festa della Beata Vergine a Fiorano e come tradizione alla mezzanotte scocca assordante l'ora dei fuochi d'artificio. Solitamente i più belli tra quelli organizzati nell'ambito della zona in questo periodo.
Non so come sia venuta l'idea dei fuochi d'artificio ai primi scopritori della polvere pirica, mi piace pensare che il loro stimolo nel fare quest'invenzione affondasse nello stupore atavico che l'uomo prova a fronte di una delle manifestazioni più potenti e spettacolari della natura e che si permea, da millenni, nel mito :
